About Carlyn

Carlyn Taylor serves as the Global Co-Leader of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, where she leads the Business Transformation and Transactions practices globally. Ms. Taylor also serves as FTI Consulting’s Chief Growth Officer, responsible for the firm’s growth initiatives, which include the coordination of its Artificial Intelligence strategy, its cross-segment Technology-related strategies and its Private Equity practice. Ms. Taylor is also a member of FTI Consulting’s global Executive Committee and is Chairperson of FTI Capital Advisors, the firm’s investment banking subsidiary.

Ms. Taylor has more than 30 years of experience leading engagements involving strategy, business transformation and transaction-related services. In her seven years as Global Co-Leader of the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, Ms. Taylor tripled Adjusted EBITDA and doubled the revenue of the global Business Transformation and Transactions practices. As Industry Leader for FTI Consulting, Ms. Taylor built over 20 industry specialties at the firm, personally working with clients in Telecom, Media and Technology ("TMT"), Consumer & Retail, Healthcare and Industrials. Ms. Taylor founded the firm's TMT industry practice and over 20 years, built it into a leading TMT industry consultancy. In 2020, Ms. Taylor led the acquisition of Delta Partners, a TMT strategy consulting boutique, representing the largest acquisition completed by FTI Consulting in over 10 years. Today, the TMT and Public Sector industries are the foundational industries for FTI Consulting's dedicated Strategy & Transformation practice, FTI Delta, which is a global team of more than 350 professionals throughout the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

Examples of major clients Ms. Taylor has supported include Lumen Technologies, Platinum Equity, Frontier Communications, Cerberus Capital, Kodak, JP Morgan, HIG Capital, Lifescan, T-Mobile, Windstream and the Federal Reserve.

Ms. Taylor has served on five corporate Boards of Directors, including two current director positions for public companies: Flowserve Inc. (NYSE: FLS), a global provider of pumps, valves and seals in liquid flow control systems, and Hain Celestial Group (NYSE: HAIN), a global organic and natural food and personal care products company. As a director of Flowserve, Ms. Taylor has served on the Audit, Nominating & Governance and Finance & Risk committees, and for Hain Celestial Group, she is on the Strategy and Audit committees. Other Boards of Directors on which Ms. Taylor has previously served include Aventiv (formerly Securus Technologies), a private equity-owned prison communications company; Nextag, an online retailer; and Inkjet Technologies, a technology startup. Ms. Taylor is certified as a Corporate Director by the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Ms. Taylor joined FTI Consulting with the acquisition of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ BRS group in 2002. Ms. Taylor holds a B.S. and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Southern California, where she graduated as valedictorian. Ms. Taylor is also a Certified Public Accountant and is Accredited in Business Valuation.
